INTERVISTA ALL'ARTISTA SURREALISTA ALEX GARANT

I suoi ritratti provocano un senso di smarrimento che però fa rimanere lo spettatore incantato.| First of all I want to thank you for accepting this interview. I was fascinated by your works, your poem that faces forward, but at the same time provokes in the viewer a sense of loss. There is a kind of Surrealism of the soul in your works. I am very happy to talk to you, also for best Italian publicly introduced.

|When you realized that would have done the artist?
| From a very young age. I was passionate about art. I registered to my first Oil Paint class at 7 years old. After high school, I also attended Art school. I supposed it's everything I always wanted to be.

| After seeing your work we understand your wisdom in the use of pictorial technique, according to you what is imported the technique in art?
| I believe technique is not everything. You have artists with simple subjects and very good technique or you have artists with complex imagery and simple technique. I believe its all about balance and the overall effect at the end. As long as it makes the viewers feel something, I think a piece has succeeded.

| You gave new life to the picture, how did your passion for this genre?
Solo nostro. | After years of experimentation and trying new things, I found my "magic formula"Coming up with a style than you can call your own is a journey. Once you commit to a certain type of image, it's almost like creating a new dialogue with the viewers, your own way to communicate in silence.

4)  Quanto è importante per te l'llusione? | How important is for you the illusion?
| The illusion drives my imagery. For me, the illusion is the most important part of the final piece. I want to engage the viewer, I want my paintings to be more than something pretty to look at. It's about creating an experience.

5) Come nasce la serie Double Eyes? | How did the series Double Eyes?
| I first started playing with symmetry elements and mirror images. And wanted to push concepts to the next level. From there, I created a bunch of sketches exploring duplication of elements as main feature. Lots of doodles and sketches and the idea was born.

6) Quali sono i tuoi prossimi progetti? Hai mostre in programma?| What are your next projects? Where will exhibit?
